Crystal (結晶 ) is an emitter type quirk possessed by Akira Kurosawa.

Description[]

Crystal allows Akira to cover herself or anything she touches with super-durable crystals, she can manipulate the shape and sharpness of the crystal and dematerialize it on a whim.

Akira can cover parts of her body (mostly her hands, feet, shins and forearms) with crystal to protect herself or increase the force of her attacks. The more crystal she materializes around herself the more she weighs herself down and decreases her mobility. Akira will often materialize crystal over part of her body to block a specific attack then dissipate it.

Akira needs to be strong enough to lift the crystals she materializes, which requires her to do a lot of strength training.

When Akira covers parts of her body with crystal, any joints that are covered she isn't able to move. While she covers her hands in crystal to smash an enemy for instance, she isn't able to open her fist until she dissipates the crystal. Akira rarely materializes crystal around her belly or chest for more than a few moments because doing so makes it harder to breath. Akira never covers her face with crystal because that would suffocate her.

To use her quirk on something other than her own body requires direct skin contact. The crystal will spread from the point/points where she touches an object then grow to envelop the object. The moment she breaks physical contact the Crystals will stop spreading and begin to weaken.

Moves and Techniques[]

Crystal Armor (結晶 装甲): Akira can cover parts of her body (mostly her hands, feet, shins and forearms) with crystal to protect herself or increase the force of her attacks. This comes at the cost of weighing herself down and decreases her mobility. Akira will often materialize crystal over part of her body to block a specific attack then dissipate it.

  • Crystal smash: Akira covers her hands or up to her forearms with crystal to increase the force of her punches.
  • Crystal Blade hand/arm: Akira covers her fingers, hand, or up to her forearm with crystal then reshapes that crystal into a blade.
  • Crystal kick: Akira covers her feet or up to her knees with crystal to increase the force of her kicks.
  • Crystal Spike protrusion:

Crystal Bindings (結晶 拘束): Akira can cover parts of other people's bodies with crystal thus restricting their movements. If Akira covers enough of somebody's body with Crystal she can immobilize them.

Crystal blunt weapon (結晶 鈍器): Akira can take an object like a baseball bat and cover it in crystal to increase it's effectiveness as a blunt weapon.

Crystal Wall (結晶 壁): Akira can reinforce barriers like doors, windows, and vents by covering them with crystals.

Trivia[]

  • Akira's crystals aren't indestructible and can be broken with enough force.
