Mahi Hiraoka (平岡マヒ Hiraoka Mahi), also known as Tsuimahi (対麻痺 Perəˈplējēə) is a student attending U.A High School. She's a member of Class 1-A and studying to become a Pro Hero.
Appearance
Mahi is a fairly tall, pale-skinned young woman. She has baby blue coloured hair that reaches down to the bottom of her breast bone, she can usually be seen wearing it in a half up half down style. Her olive-green eyes are shaped to be quite big and wide on her face, she also has freckles that litter her nose bridge and shoulders.
During school hours, she wears the standard female uniform which consists of a gray blazer with blue-green stripes, a formal white shirt, a red tie and a green pleated skirt but instead of the classic black knee-high socks and brown shoes, she wears fishnet tights and white sneakers.
Her hero costume consists of a black sleeveless leotard with purple designs around the arms and waist, as well as a white tank top that goes over the top. She as well continues to wear the fishnet tights and white sneakers she wears with her uniform. During the winter months, she switches to a long-sleeved of her costume and changes her sneakers into ankle boots.
Personality
Mahi is a shy, easygoing girl. Even though she is quite shy, she is very approachable making her have a lot of friends and acquaintances alike. She is almost always seen hanging around with her friends.
When she was in middle school she didn't have many friends because of her shyness, out of curiosity she was approached by Mina Ashido one day, the two hit it off right away and became good friends. They enjoy going shopping together and often chose outfits for each other.
She is not very good at expressing her emotions and can sometimes feel shame if she believes she is showing too much emotion or too little. Because of this she often tries to bottle everything up until it overflows.
Abilities
Overall Abilities: Mahi isn't very skilled with combat, but what she lacks in that. She makes up for in quirk control and accuracy. Her abilities earned her the 8th place spot on the Quirk Apprehension Test. She can control the severity of how long her quirk lasts, the time period in which Paralysis can have an effect on someone is five minutes to four hours. Because of her slim and lean build, Mahi is quite agile and overall out of all the Class 1-A's female students; second only to Mina Ashido, she has the best reflexes.
During the Joint Training Battle, Mahi showcases her new improvement of being able to paralyze multiple people at once, instead of just her former one person at a time. Her abilities gained the attention of Pro Hero Venom, giving Mahi the opportunity to intern and complete her work-study under her.
Keen Observation: Mahi is extremely talented and good at observing people. She was the first to take notice of Ochaco Uraraka's crush on Izuku Midoriya.
Quirk
Paralysis (麻痺 Mahi): Mahi's quirk allows her to take control of someone's nerves to paralyze them. She can control the time period of which Paralysis has an effect on someone, ranging from five minutes to four hours. If she uses her quirk for a long amount of time, she can experience dizziness and can begin to become paralyzed herself.
As a part of her training, Mahi would focus her mind on multiple people at once, to gradually be able to paralyze multiple people at a time as well as isolating different body parts.
Super Moves
- Paralysiser (麻痺者 Mahi-sha): Mahi's special move. She uses her quirk to paralyze multiple people at one time, however, she can only use this move up to two times a day for a total of two hours at the longest.
- Paralysis Individuality (麻痺の個性 Mahi no Kosei): Mahi focuses her mind on individual parts of a human's body, she can paralysis someone's legs, arms or torso if she wishes.

Equipment
First Aid Kit: On the inside of her hero costume placed in a secret pocket, Mahi keeps a small first aid kit complete with bandages, gauze and pills. Only to be used in dire situations with no medics nearby.

- Her hero name is the Japanese name for paraplegia.
- Mahi's first two designs was compleatly differant from her current one. She was orginally supposed to be named Akia Hino and her quirk was called Ghost, that design was eventually scraped however and her name was changed to Kanae Shirasawa and her quirk was Telekinesis, after several considerations and rewrites Kanae was also scraped and replaced with the final version; Mahi Hiraoka.
