Plus Ultra (Romaji: Purasu Urutora; Kana: プラス・ウルトラ) is the Quirk of Chisaka Kotaro.

Description[]

Plus Ultra is a limited form of regeneration which allows Kotaro's body either to endure or repair any amount or type of damage that it has inflicted upon itself. As a result, no matter how far beyond its limit Kotaro manages to push it to, Kotaro's body will always and immediately either endure or recover from any damage that it has managed to inflict upon itself.

In stark contrast to most regenerative Quirks, Plus Ultra does not revert the damage that it heals. Instead, similar to the Heal quirk of Recovery Girl, it repairs that damage. As such, when it heals damages and wounds, Plus Ultra does not return Kotaro's body to its former state. But rather, when it heals damages and wounds, Plus Ultra will adapt and improve upon Kotaro's body as if the damages and wounds were naught but the stress and wear of exercise! As a result, each time Plus Ultra is used, Kotaro will become stronger than he was before.

Unfortunately, though Plus Ultra may heal any and all of the damage and wounds that Kotaro's body inflicts upon itself during its operation, Plus Ultra does not and will not heal any damage or wound that is inflicted upon Kotaro's body by anyone or anything that is not Kotaro's body. So, while Plus Ultra may allow Kotaro to break his limits without fail or worry, it does not allow Kotaro to fight without fail or worry as Kotaro is just as capable of being harmed by anyone other than himself as everyone else is.

Trivia[]

  • Needless to say, in spite of his attendance of Vidya High School rather than U.A. High School, Kotaro named his Quirk after the official motto of U.A. High School.
