The Sacred City was the stronghold of the Engineer. It is located underneath the Yucca Mountains, and houses a few hundred of the last quirk users on Earth, including Five for One.
History[]
During the Quirk Plague, when the first infected were beginning to lose their quirks and die, the Engineer sought out a last place of refuge that would protect the last quirk users until the plague was over. He found the Yucca Mountains to be a suitable place, as it was isolated from the rest of society and bordered by mountains, meaning that it would be nearly impossible to reach it. The Engineer and a few hundred quirk users used their quirks to construct a twenty story doomsday city, a dozen miles underground. The city included a water filter, a reservoir, many farms, an artificial sun, and other materials to last the quirk users hundreds of years. By this time however, the Quirk Plague had reached the Yucca Mountains. The last quirk users rushed into the city and closed the entrance, and and collapsed it, so they were safely sealed it. However, they realized they left the Engineer outside, and he was never seen again.
Layout[]
The city is located a dozen miles under the Yucca Mountains, protected by over twenty steel blast-proof doors that lead down to it. When someone first enters the city, they are greeted by a large platform, the size of a city block, filled with different chutes to transport them to the different parts of the city. Many of the buildings are about sixteen stories tall, with the tallest one being nineteen, almost the height of the space the city is located in. There are remote controlled drones that patrol the city, ensuring that there is no trouble being caused.
There are four sections of The Sacred City. The first section, about five square miles large, is the residence area. This section contains all of the homes and residencies of the inhabitants of The Sacred City. It currently houses about 600 quirk users. The residence area is split into three sections depending on the quirk of the inhabitant. They are the Transformation, emitter, and mutation sections. A small section of the residence section, about half a square mile, is dedicated to prisons and jails.
