Yumeyona Mikuni (
After the death of his remaining family following the Paranormal Liberation War, with Tomura Shigaraki and All For One still on the loose, Yumeyona decided to leave U.A. before finishing his first year to find and kill the two villains. After encouragement and support from his friends, he later returned to the school and helped lead the heroes against the villains in one final battle to save the world.
Eight years after the Final War, Yumeyona has graduated from U.A. High School, now working for the Hero Public Safety Commission and is the current No. 3 Pro Hero.
Appearance[]
Yumeyona is a moderately tall young man with a lean build. He used to have his hair long enough to reach his neck, which he wore down. His eyes, in shape, are quite thin and reserved. As a result of his Quirk, he also possesses heterochromia iridum, which causes his left eye's iris to appear gold, while his right is light blue. He usually has a friendly yet smug expression. Several of the girls in his class have claimed that he is handsome and Mina Ashido even goes as far as to say that he's the best-looking guy in all of U.A.
While a student, he wore the regular male U.A. uniform during school hours, replacing the usual brown dress shoe with casual pale cyan and gray lace-up sneakers.
His initial hero costume appears made for stealth, made of a neoprene black jacket and slim black pants, metal plates and long sleeves. He also sports a black utility belt around his waist with silver ironings.
During his time as a spy in the Humarise cult working for the Hero Public Safety Commission, instead of his hero costume, he wears a high-collared black jacket that is button up on the right side, along with a strap tighten around his midsection, black pants, and brown shoes.
In his attempt to stop the League of Villains during the Paranormal Liberation War, Yumeyona is cut by Gigantomachia's claws, resulting in several scars on his chest, as well as a large scar across his face after his failed attempt to stall the giant. Following his self-experimentation to augment his body after the Paranormal Liberation War using Dr. Garaki's remaining technology, he has his hair cut short, which now turned white.
During his temporary leave from U.A in pursuit of All for One and Tomura Shigaraki as a Vigilante, Yumeyona sports a plain black long-sleeved shirt with light colored sneakers, and a long flowing cloth draped around his neck. He also appeared far more visibly tired.
After returning to U.A to prepare for the Final War, he dons his hero costume once more along with the gray, long flowing cloth draped around his neck from his time as a vigilante.
During the Final War, Yumeyona's hero costume is heavily damaged during his battle against Nine alongside The Big 3, resulting in the entire upper chest area of his outfit being destroyed, as well as his body breaking apart, with multiple cracks in his chest and torso. To accommodate his destroyed hero costume, Yumeyona dons a crudely constructed tattered overcoat, held in place by a piece of New Crust's torn cape around Yumeyona's waist, leaving his chest exposed. During his final battle against Nine, Yumeyona uses both a Fa Jin merged Gearshift and One For All Full Cowling at 100%, resulting in a supercharged appearance with glowing spikey hair and bright blue energy emitting from him.
In the aftermath of the Final War, Yumeyona has a large scar across the left side of his face, along his jawline that spreads down to his neck and part of his ear, and his hair becomes undercut. His right arm is also permanently damaged due to the backlash of the overpowering Gearshift Quirk, leaving massive scars and burns on his right hand and arm, which is now wrapped tightly in bandages.
Eight years later after the end of the Final War, Yumeyona has gotten taller and leaner, with his arm fully healed, and he has grown his hair out with two full shoulder-length strands of hair framing his face, leaving his scar fully visible. He also adjusted his hero costume, adding a belt that mimics the one worn by Lady Nagant, white zip-up boots with black lines on the front extending to the bottoms and heels, as well as adding a worn neck wearing that split into two long strands that descend down his back.

Personality[]
Yumeyona is a very straightforward and dedicated person who is a natural leader. He has a habit of failing to mince his words, which got on the nerves of those close to him. Despite this, he's been able to strike up conversation with anyone despite holding a reserved and quiet attitude most of the time. Yumeyona shows further development as a selfless hero who gets inspiration from others while also taking the role of a leader in his class, thanks to his skills and intelligence. While confident in his abilities, he does not like to flaunt it, and only does so in order to annoy his fellow classmate, Katsuki Bakugo. Though calm and collected in most situations, Yumeyona isn't above letting his emotions get the better of him and can become very aggressive and even irrational when pushed.
Due to having his Animals always with him, Yumeyona is somewhat lazy at times, making his shadowy creatures do things for him such as cleaning his room or folding his laundry. He has been recognized as a fierce defender of his friends, to the point of reckless and blind anger, as noted by Aizawa when Yumeyona aggressively beat down and degraded his adversaries from Class 1-B during the Joint Training Battle after their near victory over his team, being particularly ruthless towards Shihai Kuroiro and Kinoko Komori, calling both of their abilities pathetic and calling Itsuka Kendo's leadership "god-awful", as well as degrading Kusa Choutokei's failure to estimate Cat's speed. However, after his singlehanded turnaround victory, he fervently apologized for his behavior.
Yumeyona has been noted by both the U.A. Faculty and his classmates that despite standing out as a powerful Quirk user, he is most susceptible to his emotions. Even compared to Katsuki, Yumeyona is far more reckless and headstrong when it comes to helping others in need, with this being on full display during the Vanguard Action Squad Assault, where Yumeyona recklessly utilized his first Dual Merge in order to destroy a Nomu, suffering a heart palpitation in the process. Shortly afterwards during the Kamino Incident, Yumeyona ignored Izuku, Tenya, and Momo's warning to stay undercover, going through All For One's shadow to stand between him and Katsuki, despite the overwhelming feeling of fear. As a result, Yumeyona nearly lost his Quirk in the process, only keeping it due to both the wills of all his Animal's resistance to All For One and All Might's arrival. Despite recognizing Yumeyona's sense of heroism, Shota Aizawa and the U.A. Faculty nearly expelled Yumeyona specifically due to his recklessness.
Yumeyona has a natural selflessness about him, something Aishi said he got from his father. Yumeyona is more than willing to sacrifice himself for others, and has never backed down from any challenge, even when he possibly should have. This was shown in full during his near successful stalling of Gigantomachia and The League of Villains, where he used the full might of what he had to save his friends and almost stopped Machia's rampage on his own. Even after suffering a heart attack from his Dual Merge and a fatal injury from Machia's claw, Yumeyona refused to give up, using a Pack Clone to join the remaining heroes in trying to stop Tomura Shigaraki from escaping by traveling into and emerging from Izuku's shadow.
After learning of his family's death at the hands of Tomura's widespread Decay attack, Yumeyona became engulfing in sadness and anger, with the awakening of Boogeyman leading to him using the stolen record of Dr. Garaki's remaining hideouts to seek power to kill All for One and Tomura Shigaraki. After the augmentation of his body using the last of Dr. Garaki's technology, he became callous and easily enraged, beating down escaped villains left and right, regardless of if they had information on All for One's whereabouts. When confronted by Endeavor, Hawks, and Best Jeanist during his city-wide rampage on the escaped villains, he was seemingly insulting to them, stating that without using his Quirk he could outpace, outfight, and outclass them with no difficulty at all with his new body. Endeavor later said that this Yumeyona didn't seem like the one he interned at all, and more like a hollow version of All For One. It was only after the encouragement of his classmates, particularly from Momo Yaoyorozu, Izuku Midoriya, Tenya Ida, and Toru Hagakure, that calmed him down and made him return to U.A. After re-bonding with his classmates and apologizing for his absence, he made anew his promise to become the No. 1 Hero, this time for the sake of his family, both old and new, as he also renewed his rivalry with Izuku and Katsuki.
After attaining New Order and pacifying its rule to destroy, Yumeyona notes that he can feel "Star and Stripe's will", with All Might noting that Yumeyona has taken on some of Cathleen Bate's temperament, such as her fist bumping and her big smile when with his friends. During his battle against Nine, Yumeyona even echoed a phrase that Cathleen had told to Tomura. Even after the loss of the Quirk, these traits lingered. After gaining the Quirks of Hikage Shinomori, Bruce, and Kudo, the former One For All users temperaments bleed into Yumeyona's personality as well, with Yumeyona gaining some of Hikage's calmness and Bruce and Kudo's stern sense of justice.
Eight years later, Yumeyona has graduated from U.A. High, becoming a notoriously strong Pro Hero called the "crime poacher" by his fellow Pro Heroes due to his elaborate web of Animals taking care of crimes and problems before most Pro Heroes can due spread across Japan. Yumeyona continues to be a straightforward speaking person to the annoyance of his colleagues, but his kind nature earned him a large fanbase. According to Keigo Takami, Yumeyona has become more showboat-y with his hero work.
Abilities[]
Overall Abilities: Yumeyona has proven to be one of the strongest students in Class 1-A. Having been trained by his mother, Direwolf, to harness the power of his Quirk since his awakening, Yumeyona entered U.A. High School through recommendations and has been established as one of the most powerful students in the whole of U.A. He earned 1st place in both the Quirk Apprehension Test and U.A. Sports Festival, surpassing both Shoto and Katsuki's versatile Quirks in both instances. Yumeyona also has a masterful handle over his versatile and powerful Quirk, Shadomilia Kingdom, which grants him a seemingly infinite stash of abilities to choose from. By merging with one of any of his Shadow Animals, he can take on the traits of it, granting him great versatility for any situation. After fully training his quirk, he's learned to merge almost all of his animals into himself with almost zero backlash, especially after augmenting his body. His most favored animals, being Cat and Crow, grant him near hypersonic speed and mobility. After awakening Boogeyman, Yumeyona can break through and create a seemingly impenetrable defense. Overall, Yumeyona has tremendous power, being able to surpass the Top 10 Pro Heroes in Japan singlehandedly in power after only close to a year of being at U.A, and he has yet to reach his full potential.
At the U.S.J., Yumeyona could overpower small-time villains without needing to merge with any of his Animals, and his remote usage allowed him to aid his classmates while not being there physically. He later showcased elite judgment, combat awareness, and athletic ability during the U.A. Sports Festival. At the festival, Yumeyona was able to neutralize a Villain Bot-Executor, defeat his swift and dangerous classmate, Katsuki Bakugo, in the final match. According to several spectators, Yumeyona had already outclassed the average Pro Hero. His progress only continued to flourish, as he was able to become a formidable solo unit, which he demonstrated in the tests to gain his Provisional Hero License, taking on several opponents at once while protecting his classmates, with Salamander evolving into a large dragon form that could push Gang Orca to take it seriously as a threat.
Yumeyona's true test of his skills was during his battle against Woman, a High End Nomu, during his time as Mirko's Mentee. Despite having no backup from Pro Heroes due to the distractions provided to keep Mirko away, Yumeyona rose to the challenge, fighting the High End alone while ensuring the safety of the civilian populace within the area, even using his own body to shield a child from the High End's widespread attacks. With the combined might of all of his Animals, Yumeyona was able to narrowly defeat the High End Nomu, something that Endeavor and Hawks, the No.1 and No.2 Pro Heroes themselves had barely managed to do with another High End previously.
Yumeyona proved his great mastery at both utilizing his Animals remotely as well as in close quarters, being able to merge in and out with seven of them constantly during the Paranormal Liberation War for hours on end, as well as stall Gigantomachia for an extremely prolonged period of time. Momo Yaoyorozu speculated that Yumeyona could have likely stopped Gigantomachia and the League of Villains had it not been for the backlash of the prolonged usage of his Dual Merge form.
Following his awakening of his most powerful Animal yet, Boogeyman, and subsequent augmentation, Yumeyona was able to push his abilities farther than ever. With his new, while incomplete, enhanced body, he became naturally strong enough to rival prime All Might, as well as being able to stay in his Chimera form for days without any backlash. This allowed him to keep Boogeyman active practically around the clock and allowed him to merge with almost all of his Animals for an extremely powerful Chimera transformation. During his tenure after leaving U.A as a rogue "vigilante", Yumeyona was registered as superior to the Top 10 Pro Heroes combined in terms of strength by the remaining Heroes and the Police Force, and all without taking his Quirk into account. Yumeyona was able to go several weeks without sleep, something that would normally kill a human being, and could still function far superior to the multiple villains he faced. He was known for his unusual brutality during his vigilante rampage and could take down extremely powerful villain escapees like Wolfram and Chimera, despite their enhancements thanks to All For One, leaving them on the brink of death with his new physical strength alone. When utilizing his Quirk at the minimum, he was able to pressure Lady Nagant into fleeing, as well as completely swaying Kunieda away from his mission with a simple glance in his direction. When faced with his classmates, all of them, including Izuku Midoryia and Katsuki Bakugo, were unable to keep up with his speed and agility, despite Yumeyona not using his Quirk during the encounter and being incredibly sleep depraved.
In the Final War, Yumeyona improved so much that he was considered one of the Heroes most valuable assets in the battle, entrusting him to be the main attacker in the Heroes attack against a cloned Nine, who was considered second only to the now complete Tomura Shigaraki in terms of power. Despite his improvements, Nine still bested him and ultimately fatally injured him temporarily. Following his swift recuperating, he re-engaged Nine with The Big 3, the three of the strongest U.A. Hero Course students, and successfully began to make Nine's body deteriorate.
His overall abilities have drastically improved over the course of the war, enabling him to not only to make him startle even Tomura and All For One, but also fend off a heightened Nine, whose body was being quickly deteriorated due to the rebellion of his Quirk's, until he eventually disintegrated out of existence. His proficiency of his Quirk also improved to the point he can summon his Animals from any shadow, including the mere shading on Nine's arms. greatly disrupting Nine's attempted retaliation.
After becoming a Pro Hero, Yumeyona quickly reach the top of the charts over the years, becoming the new No. 3 hero in Japan by age 24.
Immense Stamina: Yumeyona has shown on many occasions that he is capable of handling large amounts of pain. Such times were sometimes side-effects of overusing his Quirk and frequently led to heart issues, in one such case a full-on heart attack.
Yumeyona has shown to even be capable of operating for days on-end without eating or sleeping, going across Japan and fighting multiple villains, some of which being so powerful that Pro Heroes steered clear of them. Even when severe sleep deprivation and physical exhaustion accumulated, Yumeyona still fought against powerful villains for nearly a month and made it very difficult for his former classmates and the top 3 heroes of Japan to restrain him for a lengthy period of time before finally collapsing. Yumeyona was also able to withstand overusing Gearshift well beyond its five-minute limit was up and continued to use it non-stop after gaining the Quirk, albeit while ignoring the fact that his body was breaking down from the backlash.
Keen Intellect: Yumeyona has proven to be exceptionally intelligent on many occasions, displaying both keen observational and analytical skills as well as sharp intuition and resourcefulness. His grades are among the highest of his class, showing that his own private Quirk training rarely interferes with his studying. Yumeyona is a quick learner, being able to understand the mechanisms of his Quirk in a short span of time and work around its limitations, as well as being capable of making short term plans that have been congratulated for their effectiveness by genius minds like Momo Yaoyorozu and Itsuka Kendo.
During his short tenure working for the Hero Public Safety Commission, Yumeyona learned the art of espionage, becoming acquainted with naturally lying. He became good enough to fool Flect Turn, the intelligent and careful leader of the Humarise organization, into allowing him into the group, becoming one of his most trusted advisors, as well as fooling several of his lieutenants into believing his motives, with the exception of Black Wyrm and Beros, all while maintaining his façade. Even after being found out, Yumeyona was able to hatch his trap that he had been planning his entire time as a spy, forcing Black Wyrm into facing him alone.
Leadership Skills: As a natural consequence of his bravery and strategic mindset, Yumeyona has displayed incredible leadership skills on various occasions. Yumeyona might not be aware of this, but he is one of the main motivators within his class alongside Katsuki and Izuku, thanks to a combination of his heroic drive, selfless yet reckless actions, and fierce protectiveness of his classmates. However, thanks to Yumeyona's very own determination and intelligence, he is a capable leader should others decide to follow him instead.
Indomitable Will: Yumeyona's willpower is one of his greatest strengths, following through his notion of being the absolute strongest and most reliable hero. His willpower may even rival that of Katsuki's and Izuku's in terms of determination and his strong tendencies shows some display of that trait. Yumeyona has displayed fearless drive to fight the villains and win no matter how strong his opponents may be such as Tomura, All For One, or Nine. Even when he was being grievously injured before being fatally wounded by Nine, his willpower was so immense that his fighting spirit made the weather manipulating villain have sudden shared flashbacks of the Second User of One For All: Kudo. Even All For One and Tomura acknowledged that Yumeyona's aura is comparable to Kudo's, as if Kudo's willpower had transcended across time and space into Yumeyona to finish the fight against All For One long ago. This was later proven true, as when Yumeyona stole Gearshift from the All For One vestige plain, Yumeyona began speaking and acting extremely similar to Kudo. Because of Yumeyona sharing the same stubbornness as Kudo during their final battle, Nine called him "Gearshift's Phantom". In his final battle against Nine, even when faced with complete exhaustion, and several life-threatening injuries, his body on the verge of crumbling, and vomiting out blood, Yumeyona stubbornly held his ground, refusing to fall to the ground, instead passing out standing.
Bodily Modification: After escaping from the hospital and finding the last abandoned hideout of Dr. Garaki, Yumeyona willingly subjugated himself to body modification surgery, making Dog’s Clones, Cat, and Salamander operate and oversee it for him. While the details of this surgery and its effects are unknown, the doctor believed that it allowed Yumeyona to surpass the powers of One For All. The surgery was meant to take months, but Yumeyona forcefully sped it up to take only three days, quadrupling the pain he experienced compared to Shigaraki's. Even though the surgery was unfinished, a hero as powerful as Endeavor was briefly overcome with an unconscious sense of fear when he sensed Yumeyona's presence nearby, initially mistaking him for Shigaraki. Indeed, Yumeyona's physical abilities have increased so exponentially that, upon his discovery by the Top Three Pro Heroes, Endeavor goes as far as to compare him to All Might. The modifications allow him to drastically amplify the power of his already awakened Shadomilia Kingdom Quirk, allowing him to not only manipulate shadows, but also spread it like a liquid over a large area, giving him far more reach and mobility. However, because his modification was interrupted before completion, his new body has some drawbacks and will begin to tear if he overexerts himself, as seen when a large tear appeared on Yumeyona's chest during his final battle with Nine, though his body is stuck at only 85% completion.
- Immense Strength: After the surgery, Yumeyona's natural physical strength was augmented by several immense levels, allowing him to move freely in the air with only his arm movements. Endeavor went so far as to compare Yumeyona's strength to be greater than All Might. Even this level of strength was strong enough to easily overpower both Endeavor and Hawks with a singular wave motion sending them both flying backwards. Even this level of strength was strong enough to easily overpower both Endeavor and Deku with not using his Quirk, as well as Katsuki using his Cluster empowered moves.
- Enhanced Leap and Mobility: Thanks to his augmented immense strength, Yumeyona can use his legs to jump extremely high with enough force to shatter the ground beneath him. He can also easily maneuver himself in the air, even without the aid of his Quirks.
- Immense Speed and Reflexes: After Yumeyona underwent what should have been months of painful surgery in only three days, his speed and reflexes were significantly enhanced, allowing him to outmaneuver Endeavor and move across the cityscape in very little time, as well as outpace several other heroes. When pushing his body past its limits, his speed increases even more, completely outpacing Shoto Todoroki and even Tenya Ida, who was formerly faster than Yumeyona. Yumeyona's reflexes have been significantly sharper, as he was able to evade around Endeavor's attempt to grab him while in midair.
- Immense Durability: The modifications to Yumeyona's body significantly increased his physical durability, allowing him to withstand Nine's strongest attacks during their final battle, as well as go entire weeks without sleeping, something humanly impossible without dying. During training, he effortlessly tanked Katsuki's Cluster AP Machine-Gun, likening the explosions to tickles. As well, his body could withstand the empowered Gearshift non-stop on his body, and later using One For All Full Cowling at 100% despite his body being extremely worn at the time he used it. Following the end of the Final War, Yumeyona is told that its only because of his augmented body that he didn't die six times over during his various battles against Nine, two of which would have been due to exhaustion.
- Immense Stamina: Yumeyona has demonstrated a significant increase in stamina, being able to withstand great pain and continue standing after multiple powerful attacks even without having Ox's pain dulling abilities. However, because of the incomplete stabilization, his body momentarily started to break down, with his natural super regeneration taking a minute to kick in.
Quirk[]
Shadomilia Kingdom (シャドミリア王国 Shadomilia Oukoku): Yumeyona's quirk gives him the ability to summon and subconsciously create sentient animalistic entities from his shadow and the shadows of others. These Animals are created from strong emotions that Yumeyona feels in a particular situation. After his Quirk appeared, he gained Dog immediately, followed by Cat, Crow, and Ox within a few short years. The older Yumeyona gets, the stronger the Animals become, as well as those who manifest. The Animals are not limited to natural ones, as Yumeyona has gained several mythological ones. Every Animal has a unique trait, similar to a quirk, which Yumeyona can use when he merges with the respective, or several, Animals. An example being Dog's Pack ability, which can create clones of the user from shadows. Another being Cat's Steal, which can actively steal any single quirk from a user. All of the Animals are extremely loyal to Yumeyona, yet have their own unique personalities and are capable of acting on their own, albeit with Yumeyona's consent. However, when merged with an Animal for too long, the union takes a physical toll on Yumeyona, particularly his heart. This initially kept his union forms on a time limit. After further training and his augmentation of his body, he was able to remove this obstacle.
The Animals that have awakened till the present are as follows. In chronological order:
During the Final War, Shadomilia Kingdom suffers extreme damage throughout Yumeyona's several battles against Nine, eventually resulting in the destruction of all of his current Animals, rendering the Quirk temporarily useless aside from transportation. After recuperating in the hospital in the aftermath of the Final War, Yumeyona confirms that his Animals are in the process of reincarnating. Following Class 1-A's return to U.A, Yumeyona reveals that all of his Animals have returned.
Eight years after the Final War, Yumeyona is said to have over 100 Animals now at his disposal, and is capable of keeping over a forty of them active around the clock.
Former Quirk[]
New Order (
New Order allowed Yumeyona to set a rule onto his surroundings by touching the target and calling out their name, allowing him to manipulate and bestow new properties onto himself and the world around him. He could give himself additional abilities, as well as manipulate the condition of his opponent's body. While there seemed to be no limit to how much he was able to impede someone, even to the point of killing them, there was a limit on how much he could increase one's power, so he could not give himself infinite strength.
In order for his Quirk to function against a living target, the person in question must recognize themselves as the identity that Yumeyona perceives them to possess. On the other hand, when using New Order to set a rule on inanimate objects or other non-living entities that lack a sense of self, then Yumeyona's one-sided understanding of them is enough to enforce a rule.
Note that a user of New Order may impose an identity they possess upon the Quirk. The will of a former user may convey with the Quirk's transfer to a new user. The Quirk can influence physical and non-physical realities. This allowed Cathleen's vestige, albeit silent, to continue to support Yumeyona after his gaining of her former Quirk.
- Overmodified State: When under the effects of Overmodification, New Order gains even further control of its targets. When Anna Scervino boosted New Order with her quirk, it temporarily removed the need for physical contact in order to activate the Quirk, allowing Yumeyona to remotely activate it. As well, New Order gained the ability to warp reality on a small scale, completely changing to properties of the air and being capable of instantly stopping the hearts of anyone he touched. However, the empowered Quirk was far too deadly, even for Yumeyona's augmented body, causing him extreme pain when using it and resulting in needing Giulio Gandini's Neutralization Quirk to revert New Order to its original state.
Yumeyona gives this Quirk to Nine in order to resume its destruction of All For One, where it eventually self-destructs after destroying a great host of All For One's collective Quirks.
Temporary Quirks[]
One For All (ワン・フォー・オール Wan Fō Ōru?): Transferred to him by gaining Danger Sense and later Gearshift and Fa Jin, One For All allowed Yumeyona to stockpile an enormous amount of raw power, allowing him to significantly enhance all of his physical abilities to a superhuman level. This resulted in unbelievable levels of strength, speed, agility, and durability.
After stealing Danger Sense from Tomura Shigaraki via Nine, Yumeyona was endowed with a small amount of embers of One For All, which he used in his final charge against the weather manipulating villain. During Izuku's final attack against All For One possessing Tomura, Yumeyona transferred the embers inside of him to Izuku, thereby giving him the remainder of the Quirk back.
Danger Sense (
This Quirk allows Yumeyona to detect any potential threats in the surrounding area, thus giving him the opportunity to properly react to them quickly, similar to a sixth sense. The Quirk is able to sense one's intent and their negative emotions. Against human enemies, Danger Sense is triggered by their intentions of threat and malice.
Due to the effects of Tomura's mental Decay during his brief holding of the Quirk, Danger Sense was destroyed shortly after Yumeyona defeated Nine.
Gearshift (
This Quirk allows Yumeyona to change the speed and/or velocity of any target he touches, including himself. This allows him to greatly accelerate his own speed and/or the velocity of his target, and enhance the impact force of his own strikes. After years of being empowered within One For All, Gearshift has evolved into an unusual power that cannot be wielded the usual way. Even after being separated from One For All, the Quirk kept its unusual new power. It has also been designated as a last resort, but thanks to Yumeyona's augmented body, he can withstand its power for the most part.
During the final battle against Nine, Gearshift merged with another Quirk obtained by Yumeyona, apply Gearshift to his An. After merging with Fa Jin, Gearshift gained the ability to build up kinetic energy, emitting red colored glowing energy and storing it for later use. In its merged form, Gearshift's already overwhelming power is increased, with the power behind it diversifying it's moveset, granting Yumeyona constant access to Overdrive and Transmission, as well as incredibly increased mobility. Yumeyona was able to apply Gearshift to his Animals during battle, greatly increasing their speed and agility, as well as how hard they could strike. As well, his Animals could all use the properties of Fa Jin when Yumeyona phyically touched them, allowing them to store up kinetic energy for later use. This further empowered version of the Quirk granted Yumeyona unholy strength and speed, allowing him to speed blitz Nine with relative ease.
Following his victory over Nine, Gearshift, along with Danger Sense, decayed due to the effects of Tomura's mental Decay during his brief holding of the Quirk.
Fa Jin (
During Yumeyona's final battle against Nine, this Quirk merged with Gearshift.
Ultimate Moves[]
Shadow Merge: Dog (シャドウマージ:犬 Shadow Masi: Inu): Yumeyona merges with Dog, gaining enhanced strength, speed, and durability. Yumeyona can also use Dog's special ability, Pack 「群れ Mure」while in this mode, which gives him the ability to create clones of himself in this form.
Shadow Merge: Cat (シャドウ マージ: 猫 Shadow Masi: Neko) : Yumeyona merges with Cat, gaining extreme speed, agility, and the ability to teleport to other shadows. This form greatly enhances the Yumeyona's physical speed, enabling them to dodge fast attacks. Another of Cat's abilities is peering through shadows, enabling the user to spy on other locations.
Shadow Merge: Crow (シャドウマージ:クロウ Shadow Masi: Crow) : Yumeyona merges with Crow, gaining wings for flight, a mask and top hat, and enhanced speed and agility. Yumeyona can use Crow's special ability, Call「鳴声 Nakigoe」which which issues a loud crow that momentarily paralyzes those who hear it.
Shadow Merge: Ox (シャドウマージ:ブル Shadow Masi: Ox) : Yumeyona merges with Ox, gaining incredible toughness and endurance, as well as two giant shields in this form. Yumeyona becomes extremely strong and greatly enhances the his's physical resilience.
Shadow Merge: Hawks Style (シャドウマージ: スタイルホークス Shadow Masi: Hōkusu Style?): Yumeyona merges with Crow, but only uses his wings and speed at 150%. In this form, he can use the seemingly infinitely regenerating shadow feathers in a similar way to Hawks, the No.2 Hero. Like Hawks, he can manipulate each feather and dedicate it to saving one person, using it to float them away from danger.
Dual Merge (デュアルマージ Dual Masi): A form in which Yumeyona merges with two of his Animals at a time. This form grants him both of his chosen Animal's special abilities at 120% effectiveness. However, the strain on his body is doubled, making it a highly risky move.
- Crow x Cat: Duality: Yumeyona merges with both Crow and Cat, making him powerful enough to fight a high tier Nomu singlehandedly.
- Dog x Cat: Two-Faced: Yumeyona merges with Dog and Cat.
- Dog x Ox: Armor: Yumeyona merges with Dog and Ox, allowing him to create giant dog-like entities from shadows. This form was powerful enough to keep Gigantomachia and The League of Villains from moving entirely.
Black Art Chimera (黒魔術キメラ Kuro Majutsu Chimera): A form that is the culmination of Yumeyona's creativity, allowing him to merge with multiple of his Animals' at once. His favored combination, Dog, Cat, Crow, and Fox has become his go-to transformation. However, in order to balance out the stain on his body, Yumeyoma can only use all of their abilities at 80% effectiveness. After augmenting his body, he was able to raise it to 100%.
Fist Bump to the Earth (フィスト・バンプ・トゥ・ジ・アース Fisuto Banpu Tu Ji Āsu?): Yumeyona solidifies the air into the shape of his body, but a thousand times larger. This journal was stolen by Crow during the Paranormal Liberation War, saving it from Tomura's Decay.
